Stockholm, May 20(ChinaEuropeNet) — Stockholm today saw 0 death of Covid 19 infection marking a downward trend with 663 infected cases while the national confirmed cases decreased to 3404 from previous days high number of over 8400.

The total number of infection has reached over 1,05 million, over 10% of the total population in Sweden. The total death toll of covid 19 reached 14406.

Sweden has decided to keep the current strict restrictions till June 1. By then the restrictions will be relaxed from current 8 persons of gathering to 50 persons and outside gathering can be up to 500.

But Anders Tegnell still reminds people of washing hands often, keeping social distance and staying at home if you are infected.

He said it all depends on people’s behaviour.

So far, a total of 3,33 million people have got vaccinated in Sweden and those who are 65 years old or above, mostly got two dozes already.

Sweden plans to vaccinate all the people above 18 by September 1, at least one doze.

Meanwhile in China, a total of 404 million dozes of vaccines have been injected. There are only 12 cases of infection and 11 of them came from abroad.

China has put the Covid -19 under control by careful quarantine and taking masks and many other measures. But from time to time there are a few cases coming in from abroad. And then they affect other people they have contacted.
